|  |  Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009 Join us! Brasília - Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a worldwide movement that takes place annually in 90 countries. From November 16th to 22nd thousands of activities will take place throughout Brazil to promote and celebrate entrepreneurship. Last year the GEW mobilized over 1,735 partnering organizations which generated a total of 1,781 activities involving 1,400,000 people.The overall organization of the movement is run by the Kauffmann Foundation (USA) and the institution Make Your Mark (England). In Brazil the movement is led by the Instituto Empreender Endeavor, which organizes partnerships with companies and educational institutions to promote entrepreneurship throughout the country. | | Hemispheric Issues |  Delayed Honduran Vote on Zelaya Not Counter to Accord, U.S. Says Washington — The United States continues to believe that the restoration of President Manuel Zelaya to power in Honduras should occur to promote political reconciliation, but says the Honduran Congress’ action to delay a decision on the matter until after the country’s November 28 presidential election does not violate a recent accord between Zelaya and the interim head of the de facto Honduran government, Roberto Micheletti. State Department spokesman Ian Kelly said November 18 that the October 30 agreement calls on the country’s Congress to issue a pronouncement on whether Zelaya should return. More... |
